Summer Sangria Recipe
Ingredients:
4 Cups of Cold Brewed Summer Sangria Tisane
2 Cups of White Wine
1/2 to 1 Cup of Simple Syrup or Honey (to taste)
2 Cups of Fresh Fruit
Instructions:
Combine tea, wine and honey (or simple syrup) until honey is dissolved and sangria reaches desired sweetness. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Before serving, add in fresh fruit. Serve chilled, over ice.
For a kid friendly Sangria, add flavored sparkling water to the tea. I recommend a 1/2 liter for this recipe.
Notes:
You can use red wine instead of white wine.
Make your own simple syrup by boiling 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Continue to boil until the sugar is fully dissolved. Cool the syrup before adding to the sangria.
If you use honey in the sangria, I recommend heating in the microwave for a few seconds so it will dissolve easier in the sangria.
For fruit, I would add cubed apples, sliced oranges, & strawberries. You can use what you prefer.
I like to make this recipe in a serving container with a spigot. I layer the fruit and then add the ingredients to fill the container. Just double or triple the recipe depending on the size of the your container.
This can be made ahead and refrigerated until your ready to serve.
